Hopi Ear Candles can be used to treat many different complaints and consists of a hollow tube of very fine, organically grown flax dipped in wax. The wax contains 100% beeswax and extracts of Honey, St John’s Wort, Chamomile, Sage and Beta Carotene.
This is a very soothing and calming therapy allowing the client complete relaxation. The patient lays on their back with the head to one side and the candle is placed in the ear. The candle is then lit and the flame causes the chimney effect of the candle to vibrate on the eardrum. This relieves any build up of pressure in the sinuses, a common cause of headaches.
Patients describe a light feeling as pressure dissipates. In addition to this the blood flow increases around the ear which in turn stimulates the lymph glands, while toxins are carried away in the smoke which spirals its way up the tube.
This is a deeply relaxing treatment ideal for tinnitus, sinuses, neuralgia, snoring, etc.
