Acupuncture has been practised for thousands of years, working with the body’s
energy channels to restore balance and wellbeing. Transformative Acupuncture
builds on this but rather than working solely on physical symptoms, its focus is
supporting and promoting your spiritual practice and development.
This form of acupuncture is particularly suited to those already engaged in practices
such as meditation, tai chi, yoga, or other contemplative disciplines. It can deepen
your existing practice by helping to clear energetic blockages and awaken dormant
potentials.
Sessions use carefully chosen patterns of points, often working with the body’s main
energy centres or chakras, others with the deeper meridians that form during our
embryonic development. Together, these help reconnect you with your fundamental
nature whilst grounding and integrating the experience in your physical body.
Many find that this deeper work naturally manifests as improvements in physical and
emotional health, though this occurs as a reflection of changes at other levels rather
than through direct treatment of symptoms.
The patterns of Transformative Acupuncture assist and support our own inner work,
whatever form this may take.
LYNDEN SWIFT – TRANSFORMATIVE ACUPUNCTURE I qualified in acupuncture in 2002, having trained in both Five Element and TCM approaches at two respected UK colleges. This dual training gave me a broad foundation in traditional methods. I always believed that acupuncture could do more than simply cure illnesses. Although acupuncture is an energetic based therapy it is predominantly used to treat physical (and sometimes emotional) ailments. Rarely if ever is it focussed specifically on supporting our spiritual growth. It was this gap that I perceived early on in my training and wished to remedy. This is where Transformative Acupuncture begins. My approach uses carefully structured patterns of points to work directly with consciousness and perception. Rather than treating illness, I support your own spiritual evolution and inner practice: whatever form that takes. The work typically begins with the body’s main energy centres and the eight extraordinary meridians that form during our earliest development. These meridians operate at a profound level, helping to reconnect you with fundamental aspects of yourself that may have become obscured.
