People come to psychotherapy for many reasons. It may be that you are having difficulties in relationships, at work or in your family life. Others come because they find themselves repeating limiting or painful patterns of behaviour. I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space in which your thoughts and feelings can be expressed and explored. In this way more of your experience is brought into conscious awareness, and this can lead to insight, integration and relief.
I undertook a Barefoot Practitioner Training in 2010. This was an integrative self-healing course working with meditations and conscious breath-work. The experience was transformative and inspired me to pursue a career as a therapist.
In 2012 I completed a certificate in counselling skills at WPF Therapy in London. Since then I have completed 5 years of an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy with Bath Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre (BCPC). Next year I will qualify as a UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) accredited psychotherapist. I have been working in private practice as a trainee psychotherapist since November 2013. I also work within the NHS as an honorary psychotherapist. Prior to starting in private practice I spent a year working as a counsellor with people experiencing problematic drug and alcohol use.
My background is in advice and support work in the voluntary sector, specifically in the fields of housing and homelessness. I have also worked with women who have experienced sexual exploitation.
Arranging an appointment
Please feel free to contact me on 07472661414 with any queries or to arrange an appointment. If I am not available you can leave a message and I will get back to you. Alternatively you can email me on [email protected]. Our first appointment is an opportunity for us to meet and talk about what brings you to therapy at this time. I can also answer any questions you may have about psychotherapy and how I work.
I charge £35 per session. This fee reflects my status as a trainee in my 6th and final year of training. Sessions last for 50 minutes.
