I believe it is always helpful to talk. Talking helps us uncover inner resources and get in touch with our deeper feelings. I offer the space to help you explore how you are feeling and to talk about whatever you need.
Working together we will build a unique relationship. I believe the relationship between us is very important, the foundation of our work together. Often the best way to work with difficulties in our lives is to gently turn and face them rather than looking away: I can support you in this work.
Choosing a talking therapy involves work by you, the client – it is not an easy, quick fix. When it works well, psychotherapy can have transformational results. Therapy can be long term and open-ended, although sometimes shorter term is enough. We can discuss this to work out what’s best for you.
I’ve spent many years working in the creative industries surrounded by inspiring people. People, and how they work, are my passion.
My own experience of therapy includes working with trauma, loss and bereavement, relationships, anxiety, depression, midlife passage, inclusion and identity issues.
I gained my first certificate in Counselling in 2005 from Thames Valley University and studied for my Masters in Psychotherapy at BCPC (Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling) 2009 – 2016. I am a full member of UKCP and abide by their code of ethics.
