What is Core Process Psychotherapy?
Core Process psychotherapy is underpinned by Buddhist Psychology and Practice. It is understood that the gateway to health, wisdom, compassion and freedom is in the present moment. That these qualities are never truly lost, but instead are obscured by difficult and often traumatic experiences. By bringing awareness to what is happening in the moment, we can then begin to disentangle from the past and enter in to the present; where our true nature waits to be discovered and reclaimed...
I have rich life experience and I have travelled down many paths in search of truth.
I have experience of working with people with enduring mental health issues, women in the sex industry, survivors of sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, childhood trauma and people with substance and alcohol dependencies.
I have completed four and a half year training in Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute. This training is validated by Middlesex University and leads to a Masters degree in Core Process Psychotherapy. I am now in the process of graduation and accreditation. I hold a contract in ethical practice with the Karuna Institute and I am in regular supervision with an accredited Core Process Supervisor.
